Engineering Learning: Foundations of Course Design Application
The Trefny Center will be offering a workshop series to help faculty design (or redesign) a course. During this workshop series, we will work through the foundations of course design and focus on 1) articulating your course vision and purpose, 2) developing course-level learning outcomes, 3) planning your summative assessments, and 4) planning experiences to support student learning. These workshops prioritize hands-on application, provide focused time to work on your course (re)design, and provide opportunities to receive feedback from peers and Trefny staff.

The second week of the workshop series consists of mini-workshops (3 hrs. ea.) that will provide feedback and enhanced 1-1 support around each of the four topics specific to your (re)design. We encourage participants to attend both weeks.

During the summer of 2022, the workshop series will be offered in Summer I (June) and Summer II (July).

This series is an online synchronous workshop.

Dates and Schedule:
  1. Summer I:
    • June 7-10 from 9 am – 3 pm and
    • June 14-17 from 9 am – noon
  2. Summer II:
