The Trefny Center will be offering a workshop series for faculty that introduces and utilizes our new Engineering Learning Guide. These workshops prioritize hands-on application, providing focused time to work on your course (re)design and receive feedback from peers and Trefny staff. Three workshops (5 hrs. ea.) will be offered in both Summer I (June) and Summer II (August):
- Articulate your Course
- Designing Course-Level Learning Outcomes, and
- Planning for Summative Assessments.
Each workshop will be extended in a follow-up mini workshop the following week. The mini-workshops (3 hrs. ea.) will provide feedback and enhanced 1-1 support around each of the three topics specific to your (re)design. We encourage participants to attend all three workshops in the series as well as their follow-up mini workshops; each will build on and require completed work from previous sessions.
Dates and Schedule:
$1,200 of funds (paid to your PD funds account) are available for qualifying* participants who complete the following:
1) Participate in all three workshops and follow-up mini workshops in either June or August (Total of 24 hours)
2) Submit completed course re(design) assignments, one for each main workshop, by the following payment cutoff dates: Summer I = June 20th, Summer II = August 20th.
